The Hackett Auto Museum is successfully engaging and working with diverse audiences and partner organizations across six Michigan counties to tell the story of South Central Michigan’s contributions to the automotive world. Hackett senior staff will share the techniques and tools they are utilizing to engage the community, facilitate collaborations, build partnerships and create in-reach. Takeaways include a toolbox for engaging the community across sectors and tips for identifying and engaging leaders, stakeholders and diverse representation with communities and building long term partnerships. Other takeaways include basic facilitation skills to use when working with boards, volunteers, donors and the public; and dialogue techniques to elicit input and make sure everyone is heard in community outreach/in reach sessions.
